Advocate Guftar Ahmed Appointed Member of Legal Cell of Muslim Personal Law Board J&K Jammu: The Muslim Personal Law Board, Jammu & Kashmir, has announced the appointment of Advocate Guftar Ahmed as Member of its Legal Cell, as part of the Board’s ongoing organisational strengthening process. According to an official communiqué issued by the Board, the appointment has been made with the approval of the competent authority and following due consultation with Chairman Muslim Personal Law Board J&K Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi, Vice Chairman Syed Mohammad Aslam Andrabi, and General Secretary Prof. M. Yaseen Kirmani. The appointment of Advocate Guftar Ahmed has taken effect with immediate effect. The Legal Cell holds an important place within the organisational structure of the Board, particularly in matters requiring legal understanding, professional advice and institutional coordination. With the latest appointment, the Board is expected to further strengthen its legal and organisational mechanism. The Board has entrusted Advocate Guftar Ahmed with the responsibility of discharging his assigned duties with sincerity, dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of institutional responsibility. He will be expected to work in accordance with the Constitution, principles and objectives of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Jammu & Kashmir. The Board leadership expressed confidence that Advocate Guftar Ahmed, in view of his professional background as an advocate, will make a constructive contribution to the functioning of the Legal Cell and support the organisation in matters falling within its mandate. The appointment also reflects the Board’s continued efforts to streamline its organisational structure and strengthen different wings by assigning responsibilities to members with relevant professional expertise.
