On Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a man named Munna Singh for illegally carrying a revolver in Samba district. The incident occurred when the police apprehended Singh while he was reportedly moving suspiciously near JDA Colony in the Bari Brahmana area.
Authorities identified Munna Singh as a resident of Sohal village in Akhnoor. Currently residing in Samba, he attracted police attention while traveling towards Kikri Morh from Data Talab. A police spokesperson confirmed that Singh attempted to flee upon noticing the patrolling officers but was quickly chased down and arrested.
During a thorough personal search, police uncovered the illegal revolver hidden in Singh’s possession. Shockingly, he could not provide any valid license or legal authorization for carrying the firearm, which constitutes a violation under the Arms Act.
The police registered a case against Singh at the Bari Brahmana police station.
